Health & Safety Advisory: Is Head Spa Right for You?
We do not recommend booking a head spa appointment if you suffer from any of the following medical conditions:
-
Active Scalp Infections
- For clients with active scalp infections (such as ringworm or bacterial infections), treatments could increase irritation and risk spreading the infection.
-
Open Wounds or Recent Scalp Surgery
- If you have open wounds, cuts, or have recently undergone scalp surgery or hair transplants, please wait until fully healed before booking.
-
Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure or Heart Conditions
- Due to the nature of our treatments, individuals with uncontrolled high blood pressure or certain heart conditions may not be suited for head spa therapy. Please consult your physician for clearance.
-
Certain Autoimmune Disorders
- Those with autoimmune conditions affecting the skin, such as severe lupus, may experience heightened sensitivity or inflammation during treatments.
-
Blood Disorders or Anticoagulant Use
- Clients with blood clotting disorders or those on blood thinners are advised against treatments involving deep massage techniques to avoid potential bruising or adverse effects.
-
Severe Skin Conditions
- If you have severe psoriasis, eczema, or dermatitis affecting the scalp, treatments could potentially lead to discomfort and irritation.
-
Migraines Triggered by Pressure or Essential Oils
- Those with migraines triggered by pressure points or certain scents should avoid these treatments, as they may exacerbate symptoms.
For your safety and comfort, please refrain from booking an appointment if you suffer from any of the above conditions. We recommend consulting a healthcare provider for personalized guidance.
